Women's Ministry Feast Event
Join the Women's Ministry as we take time to celebrate what the Lord's been doing among us and feast together! On November 26th from 7pm in the Spurriergate Centre, we will be hosting a meal for the women of The Belfrey. We would love this evening to be a time of sharing testimonies and giving thanks for the blessings we've seen this year. All ladies are welcome, so please free to share this invitation widely.
Dinner and drinks will be provided, but we would love it if people could bring desserts and baked goods to share with everyone. This is completely optional, and there’s no pressure to bring anything.
Please be sure to book on here by November 11th, as we need to confirm numbers for catering. Capacity is limited, so don’t miss out!

Belfrey 65+ Christmas meal 2026
Autumn is upon us, and winter is just around the corner, as is our Christmas event.
We are returning to The Waterfront Restaurant, Naburn, on Tuesday, 1st December. We would love to have you join us for this event and all details plus the sign-up form are below.

For everyone in your group, don't forget to add an additional ticket so they can select their menu choices too. Also, remember to click the privacy policy in order to proceed.
Our time in the Conservatory will start at 12noon, with a welcome drink. No early arrivals PLEASE, there is plenty of time to come in and grab a seat.
We will share a meal, be entertained, sing some carols, and hear from our guest speaker, aiming to finish the event at about 3pm.
Our speaker this year is Gareth Russell, CEO of Jersey Road. He works to help Christian organisations communicate powerfully with their audiences to inspire engagement and action. Read more on the website.
You will find the venue at Naburn Marina, Naburn Lane, York YO19 4RW. There is a car park as well as an overflow car park if needed.

Open House
Join us for our Open House worship night, where we open up the House of the Lord to rest in His presence, to worship, pray and spend time with God. This is for everyone so invite anyone you know who would love to come and worship the lord with us!
Andy Baker's Licensing
Andy Baker will be licensed as Priest in Charge of St Michael le Belfrey on October 19th at 7:30pm in the De Grey Rooms.
Due to limited capacity in the ballroom, this is will be a ticketed event. You can book on via this link.
Please make plans to come and support Andy and his family as he begins this new chapter of leading our church.
Refreshments will be provided after the event. If you will not be able to attend in person, the event will be livestreamed on our Belfrey YouTube channel.
Harvest Sunday Foodbank Collection
Harvest Sunday at the Belfrey collecting for York Foodbank, the food will be used to bless people in crisis in York.
We are asking people to bring their harvest food donation on the day at one of the 3 services OR (preferably) use the link below to order from the Amazon wish list. The wish list is open two weeks before and after Harvest Sunday.

The first Open House Worship Night of the term will be next Wednesday, September 23rd, at 7:30pm in the De Grey Rooms. We'll be worshipping and interceding together, so please make plans to join us!
Love your Neighbour Project Day 2026
We are excited to be partnering with Besom again to help those in need across the city.
As a church community, going out into the community, we will be spending the project days gardening and decorating (and maybe more) for those in York who could do with a bit of extra help.
Please sign up if you'd like to join this fun and rewarding day.
If you're coming with your Belfrey Group, you can let us know, or sign up as an individual and we'll put you into a team with others.
There's no need to bring anything but yourselves or maybe some suncream (although if you have favourite tools, feel free bring them along)!

Belfrey 65+ Wydale Hall Outing
Belfrey 65+ (renamed) warmly invites you to join us for an outing to Wydale Hall on Saturday 27 June.
We will arrive to welcome refreshments between 10. 30 –11am (the venue has asked that we please don't arrive before this time), followed by a talk from our visiting speaker at around 11am. A light lunch will be served afterwards.
Our organised time together will finish at about 2pm, after which you are welcome to explore the gardens, book your own afternoon refreshments, or make your way home. The venue is booked until 3pm.
The cost of the outing is £32, payable via the link below. If the cost would make it difficult for you to join us, please do reach out. We'd be very glad to help.
Parking is available onsite. Further information about the facilities and gardens can be found on the Wydale Hall website.

24 Hours of Worship
From 7pm on Wednesday through to 7pm on Thursday, we'll be setting aside an entire day to worship, pray, and seek God together during our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting.
Whether you can come for an hour, a few hours, or longer, we'd love you to be part of it. Come and spend time in God's presence, join with others in worship, and help us fill the room with continuous praise for 24 hours.
We're expectant for what God will do as we gather to seek Him together.
Women's Ministry Prayer Event
This year we felt God was prompting us to focus on building our multi-generational community and to do this by meeting together to worship, pray, serve and feast.
Please join us on Saturday 13th June, 10.30am-12.30pm, at the De Grey Rooms, as we gather to pray for one another, for our city and for our sisters in Christ in the persecuted church.
As this event will be during the 21-day Belfrey Fast, we will only be providing tea and coffee. There is no cost to the event; however, it would be helpful if you could book on, so we have an idea of numbers for set-up.
We believe in the power of prayer, that as we meet together, the Lord's presence is with us and as we join in with His heart and intercede for His people and for the least, the last and the lost, we see lives and places transformed by the power of His Spirit.

48 Hours of Prayer
Join us at The Well at St Cuthbert’s for a continuous 2 days of prayer, during our 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting.
From 8am on Friday to 8am on Sunday, we want to keep the fires of prayer burning day and night. Come on your own or with your Belfrey Group, family or friends to be part of it.
A range of prayer stations, interactive guided activities and focusses will be available to you. Or simply enjoy the peace and time the time to listen to the Lord and seek His voice for our church, as we pray and fast.
Slots are available every hour so please sign up.
Impact Prayer Walks
Join us after you’ve attended a Sunday service to prayer walk over to St Michael le Belfrey, as we interceed for the Impact project.
9AM service = walk at 10.30am
11AM service = walk at 12.30pm
6PM service = walk at 7.30pm
Prayer walks will be led by members of the Impact Board who will be able to answer your questions about the project, and prayer points will be provided to guide you.
Gather in the foyer of the De Grey Rooms after your service, and we will head out together. Prayer walks will last 15-20 minutes.

Intercession and Worship Night
As part of our 21 day fasting journey to seek God for Revival, Breakthrough and Church Leadership on Wednesday we're hosting an intercession and worship night at the DGR from 7:30-8:30pm. This will be different to Open House, will be lively, loud, quiet, and all the things in between. Have a read through what the team are planning, we're expectant for the Spirit to move in power as we contend for our church!
Messy Church
Come join us for Belfrey Messy Church! A space for families to gather together for fun, for creative activities, crafts and conversations whatever your faith background. There is no cost, just come along for some fun on a Sunday afternoon.
We will be eating together, so it would be helpful for us to know if you are planning on coming. Please let us know (via the form) if you have any dietary requirements.
Annual Parochial Church Meeting
Our annual meeting is a wonderful opportunity for us to connect and celebrate God’s work at The Belfrey over the past year. We’ll have updates from various ministries, a few items for voting on and afterwards, we’d love for you stay for a glass of wine / non-alcoholic beverage.

Maundy Thursday at The Well
A reflective service with sung worship, liturgy, communion and foot washing, taking us through the night before Jesus died.
Impact Prayer Walk
Join the Impact Team for a prayer walk, as we interceed for the ongoing project to restore and reorder St Michael le Belfrey church.
Please dress appropriately for the weather! It might get cold and windy.
