GET INVOLVED AND HELP SUPPORT THE WORK OF THE BELFREY

We are organising a number of fun community fundraising initiatives for 2025!

These will raise important funds towards our work -  including our social transformation work (helping to reduce poverty, improving mental health and supporting vulnerable families in York) and evangelism*.

This is where the whole church community (of any age) and interested parties can get involved and have some fun together!

Big congratulations to all our winners and runners up, whose images will be featured in our Capturing York 2026 fundraising calendar. This will be available to buy from 26 September for £10 each, with its sale debut being at the Autumn Ceilidh! You will then be able to purchase it at church services on regular occasions and at our event at St Crux on 25 October. It will make a great present! All calendar proceeds will go towards Belfrey running costs, including social transformation and evangelism.

Thank you again to everyone who entered our competition, without you we wouldn't have such a fantastic fundraising calendar to sell. We received nearly 200 competition entries showcasing a wonderful spread of images of our city, giving our judges a very hard task. A big shout out to our judges too for their time and commitment - Tim Elwood, Thom Holmes and Ben Porter - thank you!

Belfrey Fundraising event - for all! Hot not Bothered will be returning as our brilliant live Ceilidh band with dance caller for 3 sets of ceilidh dancing.
They'll be a drink on arrival with nibbles available during the evening and the bar will be open for those who need a breather in between dances! Open to all ages over 18.

Set to be a brilliant night, whilst helping to raise funds towards the work of the Belfrey including our Mission and Social Transformation.

*The work of The Belfrey spans a wide range of ministries, focussing on 5 key areas: prayer and worship, transforming lives (social transformation in York), developing leaders and planting churches.
