Serving God's Transformation of the North begins by serving our locality in York. We do that through our work, our relationships, our spending and the way we live our lives day by day. If you want to get involved in the mission of the church then the best thing you can do is get involved in a Belfrey Group.

As the vision grows for God's Transformation of the North, so our commitment to the North strengthens. We support mission in the North through prayer, partnerships and participation.

  • We pray regularly for the North.

  • We partner with organisations including New Wine in Yorkshire & the North East as well as with other key churches in the North.

  • We participate fully in the life of the Diocese of York (which stretches from the Tees to the Humber) and aim to work with others who share the vision of a revived region.

The Belfrey also provides a home for the northern headquarters of some key mission agencies, including Fusion.

World Mission

Whilst Serving God's Transformation of the North is our primary focus, we also support a number of key Mission Partners bringing the good news of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth. This is co-ordinated by the World Mission Steering Group, who support our Mission Partners, bring information to the church about them, and encourage world mission activities by individuals and groups within the church.
