Love Your Neighbour Project Day Sign Up!
There's not long to wait until we go out as a church alongside Besom - a York-based charity - to support people in our city who need an extra bit of help. Over the last few years, we have stepped out as individuals and teams to support families with their DIY or gardening projects.
Anyone who would like to come along will need to sign up using our event page. Sign up using the QR code or click on the link.
You can take a look at the photo gallery from previous years to see how much fun it is and what a blessing it is for those helping and those receiving help. If you are unable to help on the day, would you please consider:
- praying for the volunteers and recipients
- making "new home" packs (like Christmas hampers but for those starting a new home from scratch) - more details to follow
- donating towards the cost of paint for decorating projects
Everyone who would like to get involved will need to sign up. If you are coming as a Belfrey Group, the leader will be the main contact. If you are joining as an individual, you will be placed with a team who will be delighted to welcome you for the day.
Thank you for supporting this ministry. We pray you will have a great deal of fun, sun cream if necessary, and maybe even ice cream.
We are recruiting an Assistant Student Worker at The Belfrey to help create a clear, welcoming, and intentional student ministry culture where students are known, discipled, equipped, and sent. For more information, please visit belfrey.org/jobs.
You are invited to join Restore York for a dinner to celebrate 15 years of supporting people to a life beyond homelessness. Friday 26th June, from 7pm at The Citadel on Gillygate. Tickets from £39 per person, which includes a welcome drink and three course meal. To purchase tickets, please visit www.trybooking.com/uk/GJXJ
Please join us on Saturday, 13th June, 10.30am-12.30pm, at the De Grey Rooms, as we gather to pray for one another, for our city and for our sisters in Christ in the persecuted church. As this event will be during the 21-day Belfrey Fast, we will only be providing tea and coffee. There is no cost to the event; however, it would be helpful if you could book on, so we have an idea of numbers for set-up.
This Sunday, June 7th, we will have prayer walks after each service for our Impact Project. Please consider staying after the service you attend to join the Impact team and pray over the St Michael le Belfrey building site.
As we head into the summer months, we want to recognize that the ballroom in De Grey Rooms can get hot on a Sunday. However, we have cold water and cold spaces available, so please don't let this keep you from joining us for church!
