York foodbank
York Foodbank is run by the Trussell Trust. Trussell Trust and York Foodbank are Christian charities. The Belfrey is partnering with York Foodbank, acting as a Foodbank Distribution Point on Saturday mornings from our basement rooms in the De Grey Rooms.
We have a collection point at the bottom of the main stairs, which is emptied each week by the Foodbank team.
Helena Mellows is our Foodbank Coordinator and if you’d like to know more or would like to volunteer on Saturday mornings, please contact her at helena.mellows@belfrey.org

To give through prayer
Pray that the York Foodbank will continue to receive the support needed through donations and volunteers to be able to keep on alleviating hardship and hunger arising from the pandemic and economic adversity.
To give financially
As well as donating food and other basic household provisions, you could help by giving money: https://york.foodbank.org.uk/give-help/donate-money/
Alternatively you or your Belfrey Group may also want to consider holding a fundraiser: https://york.foodbank.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2016/01/fundraising-booklet-web.pdf
To give your time and skills
York Foodbank is a Christian charity that partners with local churches to give emergency food to people in need. They have several roles, so please have a look at their website, or if you’d like to help on a Saturday morning, please contact Helena Mellows (see email above).
