Scaffolding removed to reveal freshly restored ceiling
In a major mark of significant progress on the Impact project, the first section of internal scaffolding has been removed from St Michael le Belfrey.
Over the last three weeks, the scaffolding team has worked hard to bring down the floor-to-ceiling scaffold which filled the entire central aisle of the church.
Having been in place for almost a year and a half, this is the sign that exploratory works, paint removal, repairs to stonework, windows, ceiling beams and panels, and high-level redecoration in that part of the building are now complete!
