Christmas Hampers 2026
(sign up by December 6th please)
Please sign up here or use the above QR code, if you would like to support the Belfrey Christmas Hamper scheme as part of our Love Your Neighbour project.
Each year the Belfrey Church gives out the hampers to Safe Families, CAP and Foodbank clients which is a wonderful way of showing Jesus’ love in action in our city.
More information below:
What to put in a hamper?
everyday tinned or dry in date food
Christmas biscuits, chocolate, Yule log, mince pies, Christmas cake etc
festive touches: fairy lights, tinsel, crackers etc
small gifts personalised to the recipients
a Christmas card
flyers for Christmas services
use a laundry basket, storage box or a festively wrapped cardboard box
Important note:
The recipients of our hampers have often known a lifetime of “second best”.
We believe that everyone deserves to receive something truly special, whatever their circumstances, because each person is equally loved and valued by God.
For this reason, we ask that you please avoid including items from “value” ranges or anything sample sized or obvious freebies from somewhere. If you’re able, please consider choosing Fairtrade or luxury items — a small gesture that can make someone feel deeply seen, loved, and valued this Christmas.
5-6pm on 6th December : Hamper packing
Many people love making a hamper themselves either in a Belfrey group or as individuals, but we want to enable everyone to be able to give smaller items, and/or time.
So please come along before the 6pm service with gifts (see above) or yourselves, and enjoy a festive making of extra hampers.
