Belfrey Family Network

The Belfrey Family Network (BFN) is a collective of churches across the North of England who share a desire for a more unified body of Christ and a greater expansion of the Kingdom of God through church planting.

The network includes churches that have been planted or revitalised by leaders from St Michael le Belfrey, York, churches that have received support from the Northern Church Planting Fund (NCPF), and churches who have asked to be connected into this growing family.

At its core, the Belfrey Family Network is relational. It is built and sustained through friendship, shared learning, and mutual encouragement between church leaders. Stewarded by Revd Andy Baker, Priest in Charge of St Michael le Belfrey, the network exists to connect and equip churches across the Church of England so they can share their experiences, challenges, needs, and vision for mission.

Sequoia Seed Fund

The Sequoia Seed Fund programme provides small grants between £500 and £2500 for churches in the Belfrey Family Network (the BFN) to engage in mission and planting projects by supporting them to initiate events, activities, or missional communities.

These grants are offered new, rather than on-going or repeat, projects that aim to start within 6 months of the grant being awarded. Applications are reviewed quarterly each year in March, June, September, and November. All churches in the BFN are eligible to complete the online application, and only one grant per year per church will be awarded.

Before applying, please review the full criteria for the fund.
