Dear Church Family
Thank you to everyone who prayed for the various New Wine events over the last few weeks. Many many people encountered the Lord. Some for the first time. Some in healing. Some in repentance. Some in joy. Some in community. One young man from our church saw angels, clearly being able to describe them with white robes and golden wings. In so many ways the Lord has shown his goodness and we now pray that as people return to their homes, churches and communities that they will continue to bring the transforming love of Christ with them.
Thank you to everyone who came to these events. Who supported them by being present and listening to the voice of the Lord and wanting to grow and learn and be equipped. While some love camping, I know some came who weren't thrilled about living under canvas. Thank you for being willing to be stretched outside of your comfort zone!
Thank you to all who served. So many Belfrey folk have served - as stewards, in background support, as PA operators, as musicians and worship leaders, as coffee providers, as youth and childrens workers, as prayer leaders, as seminar speakers, as venue hosts, as main stage speakers and more. I've been so thankful to God as I've seen everyone giving out. It's been wonderful.
There is much to be thankful about these New Wine events, and I am. I give thanks to our good God, the One from whom all blessings flow. In Ephesians 5:20 we're told to be 'always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.' So, whether it's New Wine and all the people involved, or something else, what are you thankful for today? Why not speak it out? Or write it down. Tell the Lord. He loves to receive our thanks and praise. And living a life of thanksgiving is the path of joy.
