Dear Church Family
There have been some lovely stories recently in our church of families coming to faith in Jesus. First a young woman, and then a few weeks later her sister - both of whom have now been baptised, along with the sister's baby. And also a man and woman who recently committed their lives to Christ having watched their daughter getting baptised. What's wonderful about all these people too is that the wider church family have been involved in every one of their lives. Befriending them. Praying for them. Inviting them. Including them. God likes to use 'family' - family in the broadest sense of the word.
That's why we're pausing our usual Sunday service arrangements this weekend and having a Church Family Day this Sunday. Please come! It's going to be a great day of fun and food, of worship and wonder, of learning and laughing. Here's the timetable:
12noon - bring a packed lunch to church and meet more of the church family
12.40pm - worship and Communion
1pm - seminar (a no. of short talks by church members) or watch the film 'Up'
2.30pm - break
3pm - seminar (with interviews from a cross-section of our church family) or games
4pm - hog-roast (£4, children under 12 eat free, plus vegetarian option - please pay by clicking here, or on the day)
5pm - worship service
6pm - close
We'd love to see you at this. Come and meet some new people. You might like to bring your own family, friends or neighbours too. We're looking forward to being together in our Father's presence.
