Dear Church Family,
I’ve just spent the past weekend at Wydale Hall taking part in our annual 18-30s weekend away, where I got to spend time with 120 incredible people. Our little boy Ezra spent most of his time running through the corridors, interrupting board games and charming ‘biccies’ out of people by flashing his eyelashes near the biscuit jar.
To start with, I want to thank Brogan and his team for organising such a brilliant weekend with a great programme – you guys are awesome! Secondly, rather than me giving you some testimonies of what God has doing, I want to encourage you to ask someone who went. We had some great teaching across the weekend and after each session there was usually a queue of people waiting for prayer, so God must have been doing something!!
Also, I would like to draw your attention to our Ash Wednesday programme. We are hosting 3 events throughout the day. The first will be a reflective communion service with ashing at 7am – this is so you can wear your ash proudly throughout the day, which will hopefully lead to some interesting conversations! There will be a lunchtime service at 12:30pm, again with ashing, followed by a service at 7pm where we will be launching our Lent Course. It would be great to see some of you at these events.
I hope you all have a great week!
Andy Baker (Associate Minister)
