Our vision is to play our part in serving God's transformation of the North. The Belfrey is called to be a resource church, reaching out in mission to our city and region. As we make and nurture disciples, develop leaders and plant churches, so we're praying to see God's kingdom come in the North as it is in heaven.
In 2019 we want our church to be a greenhouse of God's kingdom, where many come to faith in Christ and where the tender initial shoots of new life can be cultivated in an atmosphere of faith, hope and love. We'll continue to teach on some of the basic disciplines that help us grow, especially focussing on prayer and fasting in the early months of 2019. We're excited about partnering with the Diocese of Newcastle in sending a team mid-year to join Ben and Ellie Doolan in planting a new resource church taking root there, and in joining with the Diocese of York in reaching out more locally to 20s to 40s. We're also looking forward to developing our plans for renovating and reordering St Michael le Belfrey Church, as well as continuing to support our much-loved mission partners serving overseas. 2019 is going to be a year of much cultivation!
So come with us, be part of us, and pray with us in this year of cultivation.

2o19 is a year of cultivation for our church. Where we join with God in making, nurturing, developing and planting. We want this year to be about his Kingdom coming to our city and our region. For more about our year, read the 'cultivate' magazine below. Paper copies are available from our offices or in our church building.
