Welcome to The Belfrey!
We're a Christian church in York with a vision to be serving God's Transformation of the North. We're part of the Diocese of York and the Church of England. We meet in congregations and groups in various locations across the city. Our main church building is St Michael le Belfrey Church (next to York Minster). St Cuthberts' Church (on Peasholme Green) is the venue for our House of Prayer. Our congregations are informal in style encouraging joyful worship and practical bible teaching. The heart of church life is found in our mid-week Belfrey Groups which usually take place in homes. We believe that life is best lived in relationship with Jesus Christ. So if you'd like to explore what it means to be a follower of Jesus, we invite you to join the next Alpha Course. If you're new to The Belfrey, we'd love to get to know you.
